Meet Your Guide – Bev Jessup
Hi, I’m Bev — and I know what it’s like to love God deeply but still feel disconnected from Him.
For years, I tried to do faith the “right” way.
I thought I had to read the Bible cover to cover, pray the perfect prayers, and know all the answers to be a “real” Christian.
I was afraid someone would call me a fake.
So I kept small. I stayed quiet. I served others — but lost sight of the intimacy I longed for with Jesus.
I carried the weight of not feeling good enough— because of where I came from, the colour of my skin, my background, and even my creative heart that didn’t fit the traditional mould.
But everything changed when I stopped trying to impress God… and started simply spending time with Him.
I began journaling my prayers — just raw, honest thoughts.
Then I started noticing God speaking back — through verses ,nudges, and words I wouldn’t normally use.
Eventually, I picked up a pencil and started sketching what He showed me.
It wasn’t perfect… but it was real.
And slowly,my art became worship.
My journal became holy ground.
Christian art journaling became my lifeline to God.
As someone who has supported others with mental health challenges, I’ve also felt the weight of stress, burnout, and emotional exhaustion myself ( especially when I was supporting loved ones and running my speech therapy private practice at the same time....it became too much for me!)
This practice became a refuge— a sacred space to process grief, to breathe, to be with God without needing to perform.
And that’s how The Creative Sanctuary was born.
A peaceful space where you can meet with God in your own way — through
colour, creativity, and childlike honesty.
No pressure. No perfection. Just presence.

Do I need to be “artistic” to join?
Not at all. This isn’t about being perfect or polished—it’s about expressing your heart to God through creativity. Whether you’re a beginner with crayons or a seasoned artist with a full studio, you’re welcome here just as you are.
What if I’m not sure where I stand with God right now?
That’s okay. This is a safe space to come as you are—whether you feel close to God or far away. There’s no pressure to have it all figured out. The Creative Sanctuary is about rediscovering your connection through gentle, creative steps.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes, absolutely. You can cancel your membership at any time—no hard feelings and no hidden fees. You’ll still have access for the rest of the month you’ve paid for.
Just a gentle heads-up: If you choose to cancel and later decide to rejoin, the price may have increased—and you won’t be able to lock in the Founding Member rate again. If you want to keep the lowest price it will ever be (£7/month), it’s best to stay in now while it lasts. 💛
Will I get access to past content if I join later?
As a founding member, you’ll get access to everything that’s released during your time in the membership, starting from when you join. Some bonus content may be available later as add-ons or in the shop, but you’ll always receive the core monthly content.
How much time do I need each week?
Even just 30 minutes a week can make a big difference. The resources are designed to be flexible—so you can dip in when you have a moment or set aside a longer creative session when you’re able.
I don’t have a printer—can I still use the journals and resources?
Yes! Many resources can be used digitally, and the projects are adaptable. You’ll also receive video guidance on how to use the materials with what you already have at home.
Will there be live sessions or interaction?
We’ll have community check-ins and the occasional bonus live session, but the core of the membership is self-paced. You’ll always be able to share your creations and connect inside our warm, private group space. But I'm sure you will love the co-create sessions where we come to gether and share the creative projects we are working on and spend time creating together.
I'm not a Christian and not interested in 'faith' stuff. Is this useful for people who just like creative journaling?
Absolutely! While the Creative Sanctuary is rooted in Christian faith and includes prayer-based journaling and scripture-inspired projects, it also offers non-faith journals (like gratitude, wellness, and mindset planners), creative prompts, video tutorials, and relaxation tools that anyone can enjoy.
